The Saber Company ("we", "us", "our") operates The Saber Company mobile application (the "App"). We built the App to respect your privacy: it works entirely on your device and does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information.

1. The short version
- We do not collect personal data.
- We do not have analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs.
- We do not use advertising identifiers (no IDFA).
- Everything the App stores — your saber's settings, your local progress, and your appearance preference — stays on your device and is never sent to us or anyone else.
2. Information stored on your device
The App saves the following locally, in your device's storage, so it can remember your setup between sessions. This information never leaves your phone and we never see it:
- The Bluetooth name and identifier of any saber you pair (so the App can reconnect to it)
- Your saber's settings (colour, volume, blade effect, blade mode, selected sound font, ignition timing, and similar preferences)
- Your local progress (experience points and check-in streak)
- Your appearance preference (light or dark mode)
If you uninstall the App, your operating system deletes this data automatically.
3. Bluetooth and location permissions
The App connects to your saber over Bluetooth Low Energy. To do this, Apple's operating system requires the App to request Bluetooth and Location While Using the App permissions.
The location permission is required by iOS purely as a technical precondition for scanning for nearby Bluetooth devices. We never read, store, or transmit your GPS location. We use Bluetooth only to discover, connect to, and send control commands to your saber.
4. We do not collect or share personal data
Because the App does not collect personal data, we have nothing to sell, rent, share with advertisers or data brokers, or transfer across borders. We do not build user profiles and we do not track you across apps or websites.
5. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children. If you have any concern, contact info@thesabercompany.com.
6. Security
The App stores its on-device data using your operating system's standard secure storage (Apple Keychain / encrypted local storage). Because nothing is transmitted to us, there is no account or server-side data that could be exposed in a breach of our systems.
7. Changes to this policy
If we add features that change how data is handled — for example, optional accounts or a live giveaway with email sign-up — we will update this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures before that version is released. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
